Boudhanath

Boudthanath or Boudha Stupa is a pleasant monument that has attracted thousands of tourist till date. This beautiful monument is dedicated to Lord Buddha. Besides prayers, people can shop here too. There are various gift shop and souvenir shops too. Buddishts come here to offer their prayers and well wishes to Lord Buddha. This place is also a focal point for tourism. People who know about Buddhism and Lord Buddha come here to calm their mind and to get away from the hectic and busy city life.

The ambience at the night is superior to none. The vibe is topnotch. The places such-as restaurants and cafes are plenty at this spot. On a sad note, because of the 2015 earthquake in Nepal, there were various part of the Stupa demolished. However, after reconstruction it is made available to the public.

This stupa is one of the biggest stupas. It has also been listed in UNESCO world heritage site. People here can get handicrafts and also paintings called Thankas as a souvenir that they can take back to their home country.
