One Day Trekking Itinerary

Champadevi Hiking
Champadevi, situated at an elevation of 2.285m southwest of Kathmandu, is a pilgrimage site having a Buddhist Stupa and a Hindu Shrine. It commands many pilgrims who visit this place on full moon day.

After breakfast in your hotel in Kathmandu, we drive for about an hour to the place called Pharping, 16 km south of Kathmandu, which lies on the way to Dakshinkali Temple. As we commence to hike the trailheads north along the pine forested ridge for about half an hour. Then the trail makes round bound towards south and it takes another 3 hours walk to reach Champadevi. The views of central and western Himalayan Ranges are magnificent. After enjoying the splendid views, we come down terracing the same way to Pharping in about 2 hours and drive back to Kathmandu

Kakani to Bhanjyang Hike
This is an interesting hike through oak, rhododendron and pine forest. After breakfast in your hotel in Kathmandu, we drive to Kakani (2.073m), 32 km north of Kathmandu and about 1,5 hours drive.

From here the trail leads to the east along gravelled motor-able road. The entire trail goes almost on a level path. We hike about three hours to Bhanjyang including 20 minutes steep climb before we reach it. After detouring some time there, we retrace the same way back to Kakani in about 2,5 hours and drive back to Kathmandu.

Namobuddha Hiking
Namobuddha, situated at an elevation of 1.750m, is a very important Buddhist Pilgrimage and lies about 38 km east of Kathmandu. The Stupa and Shrines built in this lovely little hill mark a very ancient, holy site significantly enough where a legendary prince named Mahasattva offered himself to a starving Tigress with its several underfed cubs. This legendary episode is depicted in a very nice stone slab and depicted right next to a holy Stupa.

After breakfast in your hotel in Kathmandu, we drive for about 1,5 hours to the place called Dhapasi, 35 km east of Kathmandu. The trail heads northeast and becomes narrow as we move further. We cross on a suspension bridge and pass through many small villages to huge rice fields, which gives you a chance to see how Nepali people plant and harvest the crop (during the appropriate season). The trail goes steep uphill about an hour, nearby reaching Namobuddha. After detouring some time here, we will drive to Kathmandu via Dhulikhel in about 1,5 hours.

Phulchowki Hiking
Phulchowki, at an elevation of 2.782m, is the highest hill in the south of Kathmandu Valley. This is one of the most interesting hiking in terms of vegetation.

After breakfast in your hotel in Kathmandu, we drive to Godawari, 14 km and 45 minutes drive where Royal Botanical Garden is located. From here we start to hike gradually uphill along the rugged motor-able road through subtropical thick forest about 4 hours. The magnificent view of Himalayan Ranges and the Kathmandu Valley is breath-taking on a clear day. After detouring some time here, we come down following the same trail to Godawari within 2,5 hours and drive back to Kathmandu.
